一直做兼职并以独立乐队的主唱身份活动的烟雨和身为大楼保洁员的妈妈像朋友一样地相处着。妈妈突然出了交通事故住院，其间有一周的时间无法上班，于是烟雨便代替妈妈去做大楼的清洁工作。在那里，与担任公司内部播音员的小学同学相遇了……。Inspired by W.G. Sebald’s book and based on WWII archive footage, the film puts forward the question: is it morally acceptable to use civilian population as a means of war?
