天现异象“九曜移位”后，辛夷收到师傅血书，命他速往江州集结五行契约持有者，重铸封印镇压即将苏醒的凶物玄螭。辛夷下山抵达繁华的江州城。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money.
