瑪波小姐來到英國的小鎮，穿梭於過去與現在，為富家小姐Gwenda破解一個浮現在幻覺中的謎團。Gwenda自從遷到英國一間大屋居住後，就經常在夜深人靜時看見一幕幕驚心動魄的謀殺片段。神探瑪波小姐相助Gwenda查案，經過與不同人物交談及詳細調查後，瑪波小姐終為Gwenda查出一宗在她童年時目擊的謀殺案真相，Gwenda更因而發現一些自己早已被遺忘的童年往事……。The Moliere players are in their dressing room, getting ready to go on set. One actor mentions to another that his face reminds him of an opportunist turncoat he knew when he was in the Resistance. He then relates the adventure that he had in the Resistance, running an illegal radio station and dodging the Nazis.。
