本片讲述导演自己的童年故事。一个9岁巴黎男孩因为母亲外出生孩子，在夏天被寄托到乡下一处友人家。这家夫妇虽然宠爱他，但各有怪癖，而且不停唠叨他们几年前去世的孩子。一个有男生性格的女孩使他从怪圈中逃脱出来，进而他也帮助那对夫妇克服丧子的痛楚。。独居老人老李（赵本山 饰）只有逢年过节才能见到“北漂”的女儿李羊朵（闫妮 饰）和远在美国留学的外孙女莉莉（热依扎 饰）。盼星星盼月亮的盼了个团圆，也盼来了外孙女的男友Aaron（炎亚纶 饰），没想到啼笑皆非的故事也就从这团圆开始了……。Valentin is a criminal mastermind, but his exploits don't prove much in the way of satisfaction.
